Platform owners/operators are increasingly relying on AIS to provide an electronic location signal which appears on vessels ECDIS or compliant radar. In addition, a simple AIS reciever can be installed on the platform and in conjunction with TSD is able to provide an electronic fence around the platform or platform complex. Any vessel fitted with AIS will be quickly identified.
