Applications of these coatings have been made to thousands of marine vessels – commercial ships, offshore exploration drill-rigs, military ships, barges, floating dry-docks, caissons and pontoons.

The FLUID FILM Special Coating System consists of liquids, gels and grease forms that are produced from specially processed lanolin and corrosion control constituents. These non-drying, solvent free, corrosion preventives require minimum surface preparation, will not dry out and resist water washout. FLUID FILM is applied by spray, fill and drain or floatation in a one coat application.

FLUID FILM provides exceptional corrosion control for ballast tanks, voids, inside rudders, bilges, wire-rope, anchor chains, chain lockers, winches and numerous top side appendages. FLUID FILM will supply long lasting protection for all metals coated or uncoated that are subject to saltwater and atmospheric corrosion.

FLUID FILM’s Powerful Performance begins with the natural moisturizing and water-repelling properties of lanolin, natures own protector from the harshness of rugged climates and environments.

FLUID FILM coatings create an airtight shield that safeguard metals in the most corrosive of atmospheres, yet remain safe on paint, plastics and oil-resistant, synthetic rubbers. Pliable, active and slick, FLUID FILM soft-coatings penetrate and migrate without evaporation, leaving an expansive, non-conductive film that is highly resistant to water wash off and corrosive elements.

Salt water and fresh water atmospheres make corrosion prevention a common problem in the pleasure boating industry. Engine compartments, electrical connections, and all exposed metals are sitting targets for moisture and salt contamination.

FLUID FILM has been vigorously tested by US Navy laboratories to determine its effectiveness against corrosion of steel from salt air and salt water, including galvanic corrosion, the meeting of two dissimilar metals.

FLUID FILM was named “the superior performer of all tested materials,” with results touted as “outstanding,” and “profound,” by different Government testing agencies, including the Naval Aviation Depot in Pensacola, FL and the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Philadelphia, PA.

For manufacturing/industrial applications, FLUID FILM is used in such harsh environments as pulp mills and salt, fertilizer and battery industrial plants. It also helps preserve and protect parts during shipping or storage. Because FLUID FILM is an environmentally friendlier product, it helps to eliminate the use of hazardous chemicals in a closed environment.

FLUID FILM performs for sustained periods of time, clinging tenaciously to metal surfaces, stopping or preventing corrosion and providing silky slick lubrication. FLUID FILM inhibits flash rust, obstructs atmospheric corrosion and lubricates everything from hydraulic cylinders to pneumatic tools.
