New ECDIS standards

All new and installed systems to meet revised requirements by September 2016.
The International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) has published new versions of some of its ECDIS standards, including revisions intended to ensure consistent presentation of Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs) across ECDIS solutions of all makes and models. The revised standards came into effect at the beginning of September 2015, and require all new and existing ECDIS systems to meet the revised requirements and corresponding IEC test standards from the beginning of September 2016.
