Fire/fighting equipment signs are used to indicate the exact location of the fire/fighting equipment and any instructions for its effective and safe use.
The locations of fixed and portable fire/fighting equipment and lige/saving appliances should be clearly located at or near the equipment, at a height appropriate to the location of the equipment.
The use of arrows for signing the location of fire equipment should be avoided as much as possible except when the fire equipment and relevant identification sign are not visible from traffic areas within a space.
In this latter case, additional safety signs supplemented by appropriate directional arrows should be provided to indicate the direction in which the equipment is located.
